Warranty Information

We will promptly repair or replace (at our option) your Mackenzie rod free of charge if it becomes damaged due to defective materials or workmanship for a period of five (5) years. This warranty period begins from your date of purchase, provided the purchase can be evidenced by way of a receipt. If you do not have the receipt the warranty period begins on the date we built your rod.

The service Policy/Warranty applies to the original owner or purchaser only, and may not be transferred to another person. If any rod is resold or given to another party, the original warranty is then void.

Damage caused to varnish or paintwork due to the application of tape may not be covered in the warranty. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the rod only and does not cover direct, indirect consequential incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product or value added from the construction of a custom rod from a Mackenzie blank.

We reserve the right to replace a discontinued model with a current model of our choosing. In the case of rods that have become damaged due to abnormal wear, accident, misuse or neglect before the warranty expires, they may be repaired or replaced for a reasonable charge. Mackenzie reserves the right to fix any such problems as a customer care policy however are not obliged to do so.

If you suspect you have a faulty product supplied by us or a breakage, please contact us in the first instance by email or post, contact details are provided below. Mackenzie will then advise the customer of any cost which may be incurred in rectifying the fault or replacing the broken product and will wait the customers approval prior to proceeding.

Tackle dealers are not authorized to preform service work on behalf on Mackenzie.

If you need to return the goods to us, please do so by sending the goods back to us by a secure delivery method. We recommend you use a reputable and insured traceable method or courier. All returns must be suitably packaged as we cannot be held responsible for damaged or non-arrival of goods. Please include a note explaining the problem along with contact details.

Where possible please include a copy of the original receipt or invoice. This will allow us to gain all the relevant information on which to process the return as quickly as possible. On receipt of the goods we will inspect the products. If a problem is covered by the warranty we will arrange a suitable replacement.

Please ensure that any warranty returns are clean and dry. All products that are wet and/or dirty will be returned at your expense.
