Warranty Information

We will promptly repair or replace (at our option) your Mackenzie rod free of charge if it becomes damaged due to defective materials or workmanship for a period of five (5) years. This warranty period begins from your date of purchase, provided you complete and return the warranty registration form within 30 days. A registration form is attached to each new rod. If you do not register your warranty then the warranty period begins on the date we built your rod.

The service Policy/Warranty applies to the original owner or purchaser only, and may not be transferred to another person. If any rod is resold or given to another party, the original warranty is then void.

We reserve the right to replace a discounted model with a current model of our choosing. Rods that have become damaged due to abnormal wear, accident misuse or neglect before the warranty expires, rods returning to us with any of these problems may be repaired or replaced for a reasonable charge. Mackenzie reserves the right to fix any such problems as a customer care policy and are not obligated to doing so.

If this cost exceeds £20.00 then Mackenzie will advice the customer of this cost and wait your approval prior to proceeding. Damage caused to varnish or paintwork due to the application of tape may not be covered in the warranty. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the rod only and does not cover direct, indirect consequential incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product or value added from the construction of a custom rod from Mackenzie blank. Damaged rods should be returned directly to Mackenzie, dealers are not authorized to preform service work on behalf on Mackenzie.

You must return the entire rod including broken parts frights prepaid and insured to the address below. If you suspect you have a faulty product supplied by us please contact us in the first instance by email or post. Some problems may be resolved or avoided by an explanation or advice. If you need to return the goods to us, please do so by sending the goods back to us by a secure delivery method. We recommend you use a reputable and insured traceable method or courier and that all returns are suitably packaged as we cannot be held responsible for damaged or non-arrival of goods. Please include a note explaining the problem along with £20.00 for return shipping and handling within the UK. International customers are responsible for the actual return shipping and insurance charges.

Please fill in the details using block capitals and also enclose a covering letter including your name address nature of the fault and the action you wish us to take. Where possible please include a copy of the original receipt or invoice. This will allow us to gain all the relevant information on which to process the return as quickly as possible. On receipt of the goods we will inspect the products. If a problem is covered by the warranty we will arrange a suitable replacement.    

Please ensure that any warranty returns are clean and dry. All products that are wet and/or dirty will be returned at your expense.
