The growing number of anglers travelling to far-flung fishing destinations around the world has led to an increasing demand for compact, high performance fly rods.
The Mackenzie fly fishing team set a goal to produce a multi section Salmon rod without any compromise on action or performance. The Mackenzie Atlas six piece rod was a result of many months of development and testing to produce the correct tapering and feedback in the blank. Following the success of the Mackenzie Atlas range of rods, we have now taken them forward by adapting our award winning Mackenzie FX1Graphene technology and as a result have created the new Mackenzie Atlas Graphene rods.
This improvement has resulted in greater performance, by strengthening the blank and speeding up its recovery. This rod will give the angler the ability to cast the same distance as before with less effort, however when more distance is needed there is a reserve of power available which will require minimal extra effort to achieve.
As with all Mackenzie products these new rods have been fully tested in some of the worlds most demanding and challenging fishing locations and excelled at all times. The balanced action of the New Atlas Graphene rods will will work very well with Spey lines, Shooting heads and modern day Skagit systems.

Shorter double handed rods like this are becoming increasingly popular, making rods of this style the go to rod for fishing salmon in medium to small sized rivers around the world. This is also a very popular rod for fishing for large sea trout and steelheads. Like its big brother the 13’7 Atlas, it has a fairly deep progressive action but importantly retaining a fast recovery.

We have now taken the very popular original 6 piece Atlas range of rods and produced them using our new FX1 Graphene technology. This size of rod has become very popular and one of our best sellers. Its a good all rounder and is perfect for fishing right across the world for salmon, sea trout and steelheads in both medium and large systems. It has a fairly deep progressive action with a fast recovery, giving you a rod that has a beautiful casting action, but importantly a reserve of power if needed.

Graphene ATLAS-14'9"
This rod is ideal for fishing some of the medium to large sized rivers around the world. It retains a medium action but with the Graphene technology the speed of the blank recovery has been increased, creating a rod which is well balanced, flexes well down the blank, and importantly produces a fast recovery.
