By purchasing a Mackenzie DTX Rod, you have placed your trust in our commitment to quality. The 10-year Mackenzie DTX Fly Rod Guarantee is our thank you.
We will promptly repair or replace (at our option) your Mackenzie DTX Rod free of charge if it becomes damaged due to defective materials of workmanship for a period of ten (10) years. This warranty period begins from your date of purchase, provided you complete and return the warranty registration form within 30 days. A registration form is attached to each new rod, or you may complete your warranty registration on our web site, www.mackenzieflyfishing.com. If you do not register your warranty, then the warranty period begins on the date we built your rod. This Service Policy/Warranty applies to the original owner only and may not be transferred to another person.
We reserve the right to replace a discontinued model with a current model of our choosing. Rods with expired warranties or rods that have become damaged due to normal wear, accident, misuse or neglect may be repaired or replaced for a reasonable charge. If this cost exceeds £20.00, then Mackenzie will advise you of this cost and await your approval prior to proceeding.
This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the rod only, and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product or value added from the construction of a custom rod from a Mackenzie blank. Damaged rods should be returned directly to Mackenzie, dealers are not authorised to perform service work on behalf of Mackenzie. You must return the entire rod, including broken parts, freight prepaid and insured, to the address below. If you suspect you have a faulty product supplied by us please contact us in the first instance email or post. Some problems may be resolved or avoided by an explanation or advice. If you need to return the goods to us, please do so by sending the goods back to us by a secure delivery method. We recommend you use Royal Mail recorded or special delivery or a courier and that all returns are suitably packaged as we cannot be held responsible for damaged or non-arrival of goods. Please include a note explaining the problem, along with £20.00 for return shipping and handling within the UK. International customers are responsible for the actual return shipping and insurance charges.
