  • Trout and Salmon - Letters to the editor

    ts

"My Father, a salmon angler of more than 40 years' experience, and I, a novice, decided to treat ourselves to new salmon rods. We were weighing up the usual fare offered by the established tackle companies when we were advised to look at the rods on offer from Scott Mackenzie.

We were fishing the Thurso last July, when we were given the opportunity to try one of these rods, which impressed us so much that we ordered two 15-footers. The rods arrived three days later, and we could not have been happier. The service and advice we received from Scott was second to none. My father is 67 years old and can cast all day without any aches or pains usually associated with casting a double-handed rod, while I can cast to any point on the river my gillie tells me may hold fish. " David Quinn, Harlow, Essex.
